USA-Made Fredrix Canvas Celebrating 150th Anniversary

Art becomes interesting when it’s timeless — and fine art is only as timeless as the canvas it is created on. Fredrix Canvas celebrates 150 years of producing the world’s premium artist and printable, archival canvases. Manufactured in the USA, Fredrix uses the finest textile woven to stringent specifications, employing both high-tech, state-of-the-art machine coating techniques along with hand priming.

Fredrix has decades of experience producing superior artist canvas and this knowledge has translated into the production of superior printable canvas. Fredrix high-quality canvas produces stunning digital prints with a wide-color gamut that’s color-accurate and consistent from print-to-print.

The Fredrix portfolio of digitally printable canvas continues to grow with the addition of Fredrix 558 Raw Canvas Natural — a 100% natural cotton product with no OBAs that’s an alternative to the typical polyester fabrics and blends.

Fredrix plans to launch its 150th-year celebration this October at SGIA in Las Vegas. Check out the festivities on October 18–20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Scorch Fitness Focuses on Goals in a Big Way

When faced with a giant, blank wall, many business owners would simply choose a wall paper pattern, install it and call it a day. But Scorch Fitness, located in Sarasota, Fla., had a better idea: Why not create a customized wall mural to inspire their members to achieve their goals?

“The purpose of this mural was to … use it as a reminder to our members of why they’re here,” says Liz Lowe, Scorch co-owner and head coach. Paired with the break-through design of the mural, goals are printed in big, bold letters … “I want to be healthy,” “I want to sweat my butt off” are just two of the shared objectives that are reinforced every day.

“This wall behind us has totally changed the dynamic of the energy within here,” says fellow co-owner and founder, Ryan McDonald.

The team at Now That’s a Wrap printed the mural on LexJet Simple Flo Wrap Vinyl, and finished it with a UV coating for extra durability.

Watch the video above to see how it was done and how it’s impacted the Scorch Fitness team and their clients.

LexJet Keeps Things Lively at The UPS Store Convention

The UPS Store hosted 1,700 of its franchisees on Aug. 11 in Nashville for its bi-annual The UPS Store Convention. The focus of the event was helping The UPS Store franchisees learn how to better serve small businesses in their communities. As a preferred vendor and partner, we had the pleasure of exhibiting during the show.

The LexJet team manned a lively booth with GOframe canvas wrap and Canon PRO-series printer demonstrations throughout the day. “The presence of the Canon PRO-6000S in our booth was a huge hit,” says LexJet’s Vince Bejar. “We generated a ton of interest with UPS Stores that aren’t currently printing wide-format.”

Canon offers several new models with the PRO-series line, and the Canon PRO4000S drew a lot of interest, as it’s ideal for most UPS Store configurations. Bringing a wide-format printer in-house allows The UPS Stores to offer a variety of services to their customers, such as banners, posters, yard signs, custom canvas wraps and much more.

Things got really exciting when our team pulled the name of the winner of our booth’s Canon PRO-6000S printer, which went to Lynne Lee from The UPS Store 2459 in Springfield, Mo. Congrats to Lynne and her team for scoring the new printer, valued at $9,995!

Take a look at the video above to see all the action. If you have questions about how LexJet can support your franchisees, give us a call at 800-453-9538.
