Photographer Eddie Tapp Will Show How to Print Like a Pro at Open House Events

Digital-imaging expert and Canon Explorer of Light Eddie Tapp will be the featured speaker at the free Learn from a Pro/Print Like a Pro open houses that Canon and LexJet are hosting July 26 in Irving TX and July 28 in Irvine, CA. Photographers of all backgrounds and skill levels can benefit from Eddie’s easy-to-understand explanations of color balance and exposure/tone controls, color management, image enhancement techniques, and how to select the correct print settings.

Along with hands-on demonstrations of the newest printers from Canon, Eddie will provide practical advice for streamlining your capture-to-print workflow and optimizing image quality with the least amount of time and effort. You will see firsthand some of the time-saving advantages of using Canon’s Print Plug-In for Adobe® Photoshop® and the Digital Photo Professional export-to-print module.

Bring one of your own files to the Open House so you can see how it looks when printed on one of Canon’s new printers and LexJet’s Sunset Photo Metallic paper. Eddie will select a few attendees’ files for his “Pimp-My-File” demonstration, in which he shows how easy it can be to enhance images and produce professional-quality prints.

Each Open House starts with a continental breakfast at 9 am and conclude at 3 pm with the presentation of a Canon PowerShot S90 point-and-shoot camera to the winner of a LexJet print contest held exclusively for Open House attendees.

Other presenters will walk you through all of the features of Canon’s new iPF8300, iPF6350, and iPF6300 models and show how your prints can benefit from the wide color gamut produced by Canon’s all-new 12-color LUCIA EX pigment inks. LexJet account specialist Kelly Price will tell you more about what LexJet has to offer and how you can select LexJet’s award-winning Sunset photo and art papers and specialty media directly from the printer driver of the iPF8300, iPF6350, and iPF6300.

At hands-on printing stations, you can get one-to-one demonstrations of all of the workflow tools available for use with Canon’s iPF 8300, 6350, and 6300 printers. In addition to learning more about the Print Plug-In for Adobe Photoshop, you can see how to use PosterArtist software for fast and easy layout of posters and banners, the Accounting Manager utility to track how much ink and media is used for each job, and Canon’s Print Plug-In for Microsoft® Office, which allows users of all skill levels to print posters and banners from Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

Sure wish this wasn’t on a work day I would like to attend. Any recording available?
