Professional Photographer magazine launched its fifth annual Cover Photo Contest this month. The deadline for submission is Aug. 31. The winner lands the cover of the magazine and picks up prizes from sponsors White House Custom Color (WHCC), Photobiz and Michaels Custom Framing.

The magazine reports that more than 6,600 individuals entered the 2011 contest and 37,000 voted for the Viewer’s Choice award. This year you can browse and vote by clicking here.

The winner will be selected by Professional Photographer magazine’s creative team and guest judge Helen K. Yancy. The magazine says the Viewer’s Choice award is only for entertainment and educational purposes and does not impact the selection of the winning entry.
