Q & A: What Goes Into an Award-Winning Trade Show Booth?

Every trade show display is unique in its design, construction, size and technology, but what makes a great booth stand out above all of the others? Each year, Exhibitor Magazine hosts the Portable Modular Awards honoring the best of the best portable and modular exhibits, celebrating their excellent structure and design.

The displays are chosen based on their outstanding performance in a range of categories such as Best Use of Technology and the Best Use of Graphics, as seen above in this 2014 Sun Chemical Corp. booth built by E4 Design.

Get Valuable Recognition and Exposure for Your Modular Trade Show Graphics

EXHIBITOR Magazine Trade Show AwardsIf you’ve helped create an outstanding portable or modular trade show exhibit, enter EXHIBITOR magazine’s first Portable/Modular Awards competition.

The contest will be judged by a panel of marketing and design experts. Finalists will be announced in the March 2014 issue of EXHIBITOR and winners will be honored at EXHIBITOR2014 in Las Vegas, March 16-20.

Since the majority of EXHIBITOR readers and attendees at EXHIBITOR2014 specify trade show products, like large format graphics, this is an excellent forum to get additional exposure for your company.

The Portable/Modular Awards competition is open to modular, system, and portable exhibits making their first appearance at trade shows between Dec. 1, 2011, and Dec. 1, 2013.

“Finalists and winners will be selected by a two-part judging panel, which will examine both the aesthetic value of each design as well as its functionality and appropriateness given the exhibitor’s specific marketing goals and objectives,” says Travis Stanton, editor of EXHIBITOR magazine.

The early deadline for Portable/Modular Award entries is Dec. 2, 2013, and the final deadline is Dec. 9, 2013. For more information or to enter, go to www.ExhibitorOnline.com/PortableModularAwards, or contact Linda Armstrong, program manager, larmstrong@exhibitormagazine.com.

Entries came around the world – including Israel, Spain, Turkey and China – and were narrowed down to 17 winners.

This year’s winners came from a variety of industries, from real estate to aerospace, with designs that ranged from simple to eclectic.
