Meet LexJet Reps at National Beer Wholesalers Convention Oct. 3-6 in Chicago

So that LexJet can continue to provide real-world solutions and business expertise to beverage wholesaler print shops, several members of LexJet’s Bottling Group will be attending the 73rd Annual Convention of the National Beer Wholesalers Association (NBWA) Oct. 3-6 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago in Chicago, IL.  We hope to meet you there!

“During the last three years, our relationship with the NBWA has allowed us to better understand the beverage business as a whole,” explains LexJet’s National Accounts Manager Jonathan Zapp. “This has helped us to drive forward as a true partner with our distributor customers. The 2010 conference will focus on legal issues that threaten the industry, some of which have a direct impact in the sign shops.”

The education program at the NBWA Convention gets underway at 2 pm on Sunday, Oct. 3 with three concurrent seminars on: (1) business practices to increase efficiencies and reduce cost;  (2) understanding your valuation in an evolving market; and (3) current trends and challenges in the beer in industry.

The session on trends and challenges will be presented by the publisher and editors of Beer Marketer’s INSIGHTS. Topics to be discussed include the state of the industry, legal landscape and alcohol policy issues, the wildly innovative world of non-alcoholic beverages, and how beer distributors can better manage their portfolio of non-alcoholic brands.

On Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 4 and 5, you can choose from a variety of sessions on: navigating change; the differences between distribution contracts for beer and non-alcoholic beverages; hiring the right employees; sales and delivery cost reduction; energy efficiency incentives for equipment and construction; sales coaching; marketing to the female beer buyer; and what the distribution system might look like by the year 2015.

Harry Schuhmacher, publisher of Beer Business Daily, will examine how recent events in the beer industry may impact the future. His seminar, entitled “The Beer Industry in Flux” will cover big supplier consolidation, craft beer growth, distributor consolidation, taking costs out of the system, retailer power, demographic changes, and more.
