LexJet will present a Sunset Award for the Best Color Print in PPA’s 2011 Southwest District Competition, which will be conducted Sept. 17-18 at the 2010 annual convention of the Southwest PPA region at the Arlington Convention Center, Arlington, TX. The PPA Southwest District Competition is a precursor to PPA’s 2011 International Photographic Competition, in which digital images and prints will be evaluated against the standard of excellence set forth in PPA’s 12 Elements of a Merit Image.
To qualify for the 2011 Southwest District Competition, SWPPA members must register and pay the $95 entry fee online by Wednesday, Sept. 15. (Click here for complete rules and print-delivery instructions.)
The color print that receives the highest score in the 2011 Southwest District Competition will receive a Sunset Award trophy and a $100 gift certificate that can be used to purchase any of the exceptional photo papers, art papers, and canvases included in LexJet’s Sunset portfolio of inkjet materials for professional photographic printing and fine-art reproduction.
An additional $500 gift certificate will be presented if the winning photographer purchased materials from LexJet in 2010 or used LexJet Sunset media to print the award-winning image.
The Sunset Award will be presented at the Awards Gala and Dinner on Monday evening, Sept. 20.

The Southwest Professional Photographers Association is a regional affiliate of the Professional Photographers of America. The region consists of six different affiliated state associations; Arkansas PPA, Arizona PPA, Louisiana PPA, New Mexico PPA, Oklahoma PPA and Texas PPA.
