Versatile & Easy: LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric Is a Customer Favorite

When we bring a new product to market, our dream is that our customers will love it and find lots of ways to grow their business with it. But when we launched LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric in August 2013 and LexJet Solvent Print-N-Stick Fabric last year, we had no idea just how popular they would become and how creative our customers could be.

Our two versions of LexJet Print-N-Stick allow printers to use aqueous, latex, solvent or eco-solvent inks to create vivid graphics on a tightly woven, bright white, water-resistant satin cloth that has the perfect adhesive that can easily be applied, repositioned and removed without leaving any residue behind.

It adheres to walls, windows, metals and just about any flat surface, making it ideal for wall murals, decals, signage, window graphics and even temporary vehicle graphics that won’t rip, wrinkle or stretch, but contour cuts like a dream.

Brian Austin, who heads up graphic services at the State Historical Society of North Dakota, has used LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric for several projects and exhibits. For the “Green Revolution” exhibit in late 2015, he used the self-adhesive textile for window graphics and exhibit signage using his 44-inch Epson Stylus Pro 9880 (now sold as the P7000).

“For what we do here, it fits the bill,” Austin says. “To be able to create something in a wide variety of sizes, with good readability and be able to peel off later – that’s something we really like.”

Austin recently created an exhibit called “The Treehouse,” which introduces kids to the museum experience and features North Dakota life from past and present, with a mini town complete with a bank, fire station, steamboat, train and flight simulator. He used Print-N-Stick to decorate the walls and windows and other parts of the exhibit.

“The Print-N-Stick cuts real easy but doesn’t tear real easy, which makes it nice to work with,” Austin says. “Some materials can be fibrous so that it pushes knife to where it wants it to go. With Print-N-Stick, I rarely have an accident and have to start over, in fact, I can’t think of a time I’ve had to do that.”

Photographer Jim Spelman of Jim Spelman Visuals in Loves Park, Ill., specializes in creating custom visuals for businesses and brands. One client, Irontek, runs a co-working space and wanted graffiti-inspired visuals. They hired Spelman for the job. Part of project was to create a huge 25-by-35-foot mural on the back wall of the shared office space, pictured above.

“The color really works for us — it’s just beautiful,” Spelman says of LexJet Solvent Print-N-Stick Fabric, which he printed on his HP Latex 25500. “It went up nicely and it’s easy to use and one-step — just peeling and sticking it.”

He also used Print-N-Stick for the Irontek logo along the top wall of the space. The ability to reposition Print-N-Stick was a bonus for this particular project. “I was amazed at how well you can reposition it. But you’ve gotta test your surfaces — that’s one thing I’ve learned,” he says.
