We love it when our customers show us some of the creative ways they are using materials from LexJet. Here’s an example showing how a producer of commercial graphics used images supplied by a local photography studio to produce some very attention-getting window murals for a pet-supply store in Bozeman, MT.
As Justin Lind of the company Ink Outside the Box explains in a blog post: “Sign codes in Bozeman, Montana do not allow window murals to directly advertise what is sold within a business without a permit, and it is limited to only 15 to 30 days a year. However, using something tasteful and loosely related to your company is acceptable–such as mountains, or in this case, dogs.”

The dogs were photographed by Doug Loneman of Loneman Photography in Bozeman, MT and are posted in the storefront of the Dee-O-Gee natural pet supply store owned by Josh and Holly Allen.
The murals were printed on LexJet Simple Low-Tack White Vinyl, which is compatible with large-format inkjet printers that use low solvent inks (e.g. the Epson Stylus Pro GS6000), solvent, or UV-curable inks. For these murals, Justin used his HP Designjet 35500 commercial flatbed printer that uses UV-curable inks.
The low-tack adhesive on the back on the vinyl makes it easy to install and remove the graphics. A printed mural can be left up for several years or changed out monthly if the store owner wants to change the images frequently in order to continue to capture the attention of passersby.
Thanks Justin, for sharing your story!
