The fans and alumni of Western Illinois University sports are committed to their school spirit. Just take a look at the trailer project put together by the school’s visual production center.

The trailer is used for alumni tailgating and needed a fresh look, so the production center’s graphic designer, Brian Kreps, called his LexJet rep, Joe Pudlo, who suggested LexJet Simple Flo Wrap Vinyl to get the job done. “I had no idea if we could even do it,” says Kreps, who operates the university’s large-format printing, along with three photographers. Their projects typically include banners, posters, signage and all sorts of photography projects.

“We’ve done some window wraps using LexJet Simple Perforated Window Vinyl 60/40, but we’ve never done a trailer wrap,” Kreps says.

Once they settled on which images would be used on the trailer, including one side dedicated entirely to football and the other celebrating Leatherneck soccer, baseball and softball, Kreps said the installation was a snap.

“It was very easy to install,” he says. “The Simple Flo works well if you need to pull it back to redo it, and the crispness of the images is really amazing.”

Simple Flo is a glossy white, calendared adhesive-backed vinyl that works on vehicles of all sorts and walls, too. It can be paired with LexJet Simple Flo Wrap Gloss UV Laminate for extra durability, which Kreps opted for on the trailer.

“We’ve never done an entire vehicle, but the first one turned out pretty cool,” he says. All we can say to that is: Go Leathernecks!
