How to Create Custom Shopping Lists for Quick Repeat Ordering at lexjet.com

Create custom shopping lists at an online store

The Shop By My List feature on LexJet.com allows you to create personal shopping lists for items you buy repeatedly. It can be tailored for inks, application solutions (such as LexJet Clear and Backer) or even for different purchasing agents in the same company.

As one LexJet customer put it at Reseller Ratings: “I have always been impressed with LexJet’s customer service, and ordering online with the Shop By My List feature is a breeze.”

To set up a list, start with the desired product and click Add to My List (see Figure 1):

After the product is selected, you can create a new list or add the product to a current list (see Figure 2):

Once the lists are compiled, you should choose the SHOP BY MY LIST option for easy product selection.  As an example, if you have both an Epson and a Canon printer, you can set up ink lists for each printer and, with the touch of a button, place the inks in your shopping cart.

And, if he have both solvent and aqueous printers, you can set up media lists based on media that is compatible with each machine (see Figure 3):

You can have as many lists as you deem necessary and those lists can be modified at anytime. If you’re unsure about how to set up a list, a LexJet customer specialist can either create one and “clone” it to you or walk you through the process. This feature helps reduce the risk of accidentally ordering the incorrect product.

For more information, or if you need any help setting up lists at the Shop By My List feature, contact a LexJet customer specialist at 800-453-9538.

Enhancing Customer Service by Maximizing Computer System Uptime

LexJet was recently recognized by Copia International for a perfect record of continuously running the CopiaFacts system for 398 days straight and counting without any interruption in service.

Mainting reliable computer systems
Pete Petersen, LexJet CIO

LexJet’s CopiaFacts system sends incoming faxes directly to each employee’s email as a PDF. This eliminates the need for fax machines, cuts down on paper waste and allows quicker response times to incoming fax requests.

More importantly, it speaks to the strength of LexJet’s systems and their reliability, which are meticulously maintained by a team of IT specialists led by LexJet CIO Pete Petersen.

“Ensuring maximum system uptime is an important part of our overarching goal to deliver the best customer experience in the industry. Whichever method customers want to communicate with us for help or to order products, we’re going to support it and make sure it’s absolutely reliable,” says Petersen. “We maintain a high reliability level for our critical services – like email, fax and website – to ensure customers can conduct business without having any delay in their service.”

Petersen says the key to doing that is using trusted software and hardware providers and choosing the right solutions based on customer needs. “We don’t mix and match all of our systems based on the least expensive solution available. We find the best solution that makes things easiest for our customers.”

Petersen adds that even if a system is 99.9 percent reliable, over the course of 365 days that still means eight hours of downtime during the year. That’s why LexJet’s IT department strives for 100 percent reliability year in and year out. “When someone uses LexJet’s services, they’re going to work,” he says.

Educational resources at the Canon Digital Learning CenterAs mobile devices become more ubiquitous, digital imaging vendors are providing mobile apps and sites so you can take their tools on the go. Case in point is Canon’s new dedicated mobile site at m.learn.usa.canon.com, which accesses the Canon Digital Learning Center (CDLC).

Canon says the new site has been launched to help make the CDLC’s educational content and resources easily available from any smart phone or tablet. The site allows mobile users to access Canon’s collection of technical articles, tutorial videos, image galleries, PDF guides and events calendar in the field or on the go.

Viewers can also register for Canon Live Learning workshops from their phones or tablets. The CDLC mobile site is optimized for use with Apple’s iPhone, as well as Android and Blackberry devices.

So, if you’re working on a Canon printer, for instance, you’re not tied to the computer and you can follow along with the tutorials on your mobile device. Click here for the Print section at the CDLC. Other sections include Photo, Video, Explorers of Light, What’s New, Workshops & Classes, an Events Calendar and Galleries.
