PDN and Rangefinder to Launch New Online Magazine in December

New online magazine for photographersPhoto District News (PDN) and Rangefinder recently announced their first content collaboration since PDN’s parent company, The Neilsen Company, acquired Rangefinder and AfterCapture magazines late last year. The new publication is an ezine called Pix, The Photographer’s Field Guide and will mostly likely be published annually.

Pix is scheduled to launch on Dec. 8 and is free to subscribers. The Neilsen Company expects to distribute the ezine to over 250,000 photographers, from hobbyists to dedicated pros. Pix will be more focused on gear guides and how-to articles.

It will be available online and on the iPad with more than 100 pages of editorial content, The Neilsen Company says. The first issue will cover Compact System Cameras, tips and tricks on technique and processing, the best ways for photographers to share their images, workshops and classes in photography, and more.

Pix will be available by email to subscribers, through the iTunes App store and the PDN and Rangefinder websites. For more information, and to offer content ideas, go to www.pixthemagazine.com.
