Fredrix Metallic Pearl & Gold Canvas Now Available at LexJet

We’re excited to announce that the much-anticipated Fredrix Metallic Pearl and Metallic Gold canvases are now available exclusively in the U.S. through LexJet.

These new canvases give photographers and printers all new options for creating glamorous and elegant portraits for engagements, weddings and more, as well as eye-catching retail displays.

Fredrix Metallic Gold Canvas

The shimmering pearlescent finish of Fredrix Metallic Pearl, pictured above, adds a beautiful, ethereal glint that brides and new moms love for their portraits. Fredrix Metallic Gold adds pop to all sorts of displays, especially for artwork and signage in high-end retail environments, and looks especially great with black ink (pictured here).

These new products offer print service providers the ability to create metallic-enhanced canvas wraps, which could only be accomplished previously by using mylar wallcoverings, which are difficult to finish and wrap. The 2-over-1 weave of these Fredrix poly-cotton canvases are easy to wrap around stretcher bars (such as GOframe) and deliver a consistent, subtle texture.

These canvases are compatible with solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable ink technologies. To learn more ways to put some “wow” into your canvas prints, call a LexJet canvas specialist at 800-453-9538.

How EnduraFab™ Can Help You Break Into New Markets

If you’re looking for new revenue streams — and who isn’t? — consider how the latex-compatible EnduraFab™ Textiles product line can help you reach new customers or expand the services you provide to your current clients.

The key to selling printable fabrics to your customers is focusing on the benefits of these products and how their versatility and ease of use can help your customers achieve their project goals. Let’s take a look at some of the benefits your customers will love:

Lightweight and easy to transport: Since they are fabric, EnduraFab™ products are much lighter weight than vinyl and can easily be folded and carried without creases and wrinkles, making it a great option for trade shows or traveling exhibits.

Durability: These 100% polyester warp knit fabrics are specially treated with a proprietary coating that makes them latex-compatible while still maintaining a nice hand feel. With latex technology, the images have great longevity and color reproduction that lasts. These fabrics have also passed wash testing as well under normal wash cycle conditions.

Versatility: EnduraFab™ products can be finished in a number of ways — stitched to create pole pockets, finished with silicone edging for framing or simply trimmed with scissors for short-term signage that doesn’t fray along the edges.

Knowing this, where can you attract new customers? Consider retail shop owners who like the elegant drape of a fabric sign, versus a vinyl banner that looks like it belongs outdoors. EnduraFab™ Frontlit is a great option for soft signage or tableskirts. Also, many retail outlets prefer SEG frames that can be easily swapped out. EnduraFab™ Stretch finished with Keder Tape or a gel edging is so easy to use that any retail staff person could make a sign switch in a matter of minutes.

Think about facilities where fire retardant properties are important, such as schools, malls and healthcare centersEnduraFab™ Frontlit FREnduraFab™ Frontlit Premier FR and EnduraFab™ Stretch FR all meet the flammability standard for NFPA 701, 2015 Edition (Test 1, Small Scale) and require heat set for desired print durability.

SEG-framed EnduraFab™ Frontlit Premier is a great option for modern, clean office or home décor that’s heavier weight and resistant to scratches and scuffs. Check out the video below to watch EnduraFab in action as a dramatic spa décor art piece.

Now: Simple Grip for Windows — 3 Easy-to-Install Options

Original LexJet Simple Grip

Our award-winning LexJet Simple Grip Backlit film was such a fan favorite that we’ve added two more versions that deliver great window graphic results and are just as easy to install.

Original Simple Grip has a slightly frosted finish that is ideal for high-end retail environments that are enhanced with natural or artificial light — from the front or back — to really make the images pop off the window.

Prepping Simple Grip Clear

LexJet Simple Grip Clear offers a truly transparent film to add a hint of graphics or a dynamic display that allows for some see-through capabilities without perforation holes. Like original Simple Grip, graphics printed on Simple Grip Clear are visible from the inside or outside of the window. Print on the surface of the film to apply on the outside of the window or reverse print to face-mount the graphic from the inside for extra protection.

Printing LexJet Simple Grip White on HP Latex

LexJet Simple Grip White is our third, quick-dry polypropylene option with lay-flat construction that looks great with front lighting. The matte finish adds some opacity and colors and details really pop, especially with added lighting.

What You Need to Know Now About Digitally Printed Fabric

It’s nearly impossible to work in the print industry and not have heard about the expanding interest in digital textiles. Although digitally printed fabrics make up only 2% of the entire textile marketing, it’s a fast-growing technology. It’s expected to grow from a $14.2 billion industry in 2016 to a $33.4 billion industry by 2021, according to Keypoint Intelligence.

That’s more than doubling the opportunity in five short years. And it could grow even more, with big players like Amazon and Home Depot both entering the textile game in 2018.

As a print service provider, what does that mean to you? More material options with ever-advancing technology, more solutions to offer to your customers and more ways to grow your business. Here are four key points to know now about digitally printed fabric in the wide-format market.

Finish Soft Signage Fabrics Like the Pros

With the heavy retail season upon us, you’re likely getting more requests for fabric banners and displays these days. Retail outlets often prefer the elegant, lightweight drape that fabric signage offers, as opposed to vinyl, for instance, for banners, hanging signage, table skirts and more.

However, when it comes to fabric signage, finishing needs can vary from fabric to fabric, since some cut cleanly and others may fray. Watch the video above to learn how to test your fabric, and which ones can simply be trimmed with a knife versus those that need a tool such as a heating knife to keep the weave from unraveling.

We offer a wide range of printable fabrics for a variety of print technologies:

For Latex

For Solvent

A popular finishing option for printed fabric signage is pole pockets. Watch the video below for a fast, easy and professional result:
