From Sept. 4 through Oct. 11, LexJet will be running a contest for the most exciting and creative Window, Wall or Door solution printed with your Latex printer on your favorite HP or LexJet branded media.

LexJet Inkjet Media Profiled and Ready to Roll for HP Latex Printers

In addition to the valuable knowledge and training LexJet customer specialists received at HP Latex Academy, which we covered at the LexJet Blog last week, HP was able to test and profile a variety of LexJet inkjet media for its lineup of Latex printers: the L25500, Latex 210, Latex 260 and Latex 280.

The first round of new profiles is now available and ready for download at LexJet’s ICC Profile page. Go to www.lexjet.com/Profiles.aspx (or click on that link), then click on HP Printers and HP L26500 (the new profiles here will also work of the other HP Latex Printers), and select either Onyx Profiles or Caldera Profiles based on your RIP platform.

The LexJet inkjet media that’s been profiled and added includes…

  • LexJet Clear PreLume HD (for ONYX)
  • LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric (ONYX)
  • LexJet Simple Window Perf (ONYX)
  • LexJet Absolute Backlit (Caldera)
  • LexJet TOUGHcoat Water-Resistant Polypropylene (Caldera)
  • Fredrix 901SJ Select Matte Canvas (Caldera)

These are in addition to a number of other profiles for LexJet media available for HP Latex Printers. Be sure to check back at the Profiles page for more coming down the pike in the coming weeks.

One LexJet inkjet material you ought to check out for Latex printing is LexJet Clear PreLume HD, which is receiving rave reviews for the output you can achieve with it.

“I was pleasantly surprised at how well it printed on the Latex printer. There were no issues with posterization and it has great saturation. I’ve been able to switch the printing of LexJet Clear from our aqueous printer to the Latex, and I’m quite pleased about it since LexJet Clear has been one of our standard materials for the past 15 years or so,” says John Toth of Triad Creative Group, Brookfield, Wis.

HP Latex Academy: Everything it’s Cracked up to be and More

Last week, LexJet sent a group of its customer specialists to Alpharetta, Ga., home of the HP Graphic Arts Experience Center, to receive more in-depth and hands-on training on HP’s line of Latex printers, including the Latex 210 61″ Printer, Latex 260 61″ Printer and Latex 280 104″ Printer.

HP Latex Academy with LexJetThe crew was also charged with finding out if HP’s Latex Academy is good use of your time if you either own an HP Latex printer or are interested in procuring one for print production. The overwhelming response from the LexJeters who attended was a resounding, “Yes!”

Joe Pudlo, one of the LexJet customer specialists who attended said: “Latex training consisted of both classroom and hands-on applications. Our trainer was extremely thorough and knowledgeable; he has tested a majority of inkjet media on the market.”

Instant Rebate, Latex Loyalty and Upgrade to Latex Promotions from HP in August

HP Latex 260HP announced today an instant rebate of $1,000 for the HP Latex 260 inkjet printer through Aug. 31. This instant rebate can be combined with HP’s Upgrade to Latex or HP’s Latex Loyalty programs (the Upgrade to Latex and Latex Loyalty programs cannot be combined), which also run through Aug. 31.

HP’s Upgrade to Latex promotion, which is available through LexJet on the HP Latex 260 and the HP Latex 280, provides up to $10,000 cash back if you own an eligible printer.

Trade in your large-format aqueous or solvent printer/printer-cutter (54″ or wider) and get $10,000 cash back, or trade in a 42″-53″ aqueous or 30″-53″ solvent printer/printer-cutter wider and get $6,000 cash back when you purchase an HP Latex 280.

HP is also offering a $1,500 rebate on the HP Latex 260 if you own an eligible 42″ or wider aqueous printer or an eligible 30″ or wider solvent printer/printer-cutter.

The Latex Loyalty Upgrade program gives you cash back when you upgrade your current HP Designjet 8000, 9000 or 10000 solvent large format printer to the HP Latex 210 ($500 cash-back mail-in rebate), HP Latex 260 ($1,000) or the HP Latex 280 ($6,000).

Plus, with the HP StartRight Program, receive up to $300 in free HP large-format media with the purchase of select HP Designjet printers. HP Rebrands Latex Printers and Helpful Technical Updates

HP Rebrands Latex PrintersHP recently announced that it has rebranded its latex printer line, and has also released two technical updates. The HP Designjet L26500 is now the HP Latex 260, the HP Designjet L21600 is now the HP Latex 210 and the HP Designjet L28500 is now the HP Latex 280.
