HP just released firmware version 9.0.0.2 for the HP Designjet L26500. The firmware update is now available for download at www.hp.com/go/L26500/support is strongly recommended.

The new firmware update optimizes the Carriage Rail Cleaning & Lubrication triggers to help keep the printer maintained and running optimally. Some newly-installed printers have seen 87:02 lubrication warnings shortly after installation, but with the firmware update these warnings will be avoided.

After the firmware has been upgraded:

• If coming from version 5 or below, the printer will start to display requests for printer maintenance when needed, depending on the printer’s usage and/or your workflow
• If coming from version 6 or 8, the printer will continue to display requests for printer maintenance when needed, depending on the printer’s usage and/or your workflow.
