These inks can be found in the new SureColor P7000 and P9000 printers, and can produce print permanence that lasts up to 200 years for color and 400 years for black-and-whites, when printed on certain papers and in “Advanced Black and White Print Mode.” The tests were conducted by Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc., the leading expert in print permanence testing and rating. The ratings also apply to the Epson UltraChrome HD inks used in other Epson P-series printers.

Ongoing tests include Epson’s fine art photo papers and canvases with the UltraChrome HDX pigment inks, which are expected to rate with a permanence ratings of more than 200 years.
