Epson® SureLab® D-Series Printers: Capture the Moment. Create Revenue.

Written by Liliana Wright | Oct 27, 2026, 1:00:03 PM

A family visits a theme park. Guests celebrate at a wedding. Attendees pose for photos at a corporate event. These are moments people want to remember. With on-demand photo printing, they're also opportunities for businesses to offer something customers can purchase on the spot or provide as part of a paid event service.

The Epson® SureLab® D570 and D1070 make it possible to produce professional-quality photo prints for events, retail locations, attractions, and other environments.

Where Can On-Demand Photo Printing Create Revenue?

From personal celebrations to branded experiences, photo printing can add value to services businesses already offer.

For example:

    • Weddings and celebrations: Guest portraits, photo booth keepsakes, and personalized event photos.
    • Sporting events: Team photos, individual portraits, and event-day souvenirs.
    • Tourist attractions and entertainment venues: Souvenir photos visitors can purchase before leaving.
    • Retail stores and photo kiosks: Convenient photo printing, gifts, and personalized keepsakes.
    • Corporate events and brand activations: Branded photo prints for attendees.

The revenue model depends on the customer. Attractions and retailers may sell photos directly to visitors, while print providers and event photographers can offer on-site printing as a paid service for corporate events, conferences, and brand activations.

Both options allow businesses to deliver finished photos while the experience is still fresh.

How Fast Can You Turn a Photo Into a Finished Print?

When customers are waiting, turnaround time matters. The right printer depends on expected photo volume, available space, and how the service will operate.

Epson® SureLab® D570: Compact Printing for On-Site Opportunities

The Epson® SureLab® D570 combines a compact, lightweight design with professional photo printing capabilities, making it an option for photographers, event businesses, and retailers working in smaller spaces.

It can produce a 4 × 6-inch photo in as little as 14 seconds, offering a practical way to introduce on-demand photo printing without a large production setup. It is a sheet-fed printer designed to handle fixed, pre-cut sheets and is limited to two standard photo sizes- 3.5" x 5" and 4" x 6".

Other key benefits are that with its low power consumption, you can use a lightweight portable battery bank, and with wifi direct printing, you can print almost anywhere from a mobile device!

Epson® SureLab® D1070: Production Capacity for Higher Demand

For businesses managing larger photo volumes, the Epson® SureLab® D1070 can produce up to 460 4 × 6-inch prints per hour. You can print on sheet/roll widths of 3.5", 4", 5", 6", and up to 8". The built-in cutter cuts the roll paper, so you can output standard sizes or elongated custom crops.

Both printers use Epson's six-color UltraChrome D6r-S ink technology to produce professional photo output and support glossy, luster, and matte paper finishes.

Start With the Experience, Then Build the Offering

Adding on-demand photo printing doesn't necessarily mean creating an entirely new business. It may mean expanding an existing service to include printed photos.

Before getting started, consider expected photo volume, available space, staffing, print sizes, and how customers will select and purchase their photos. These factors can help determine which printer and workflow best fit your operation.

Whether you're adding a new service or expanding an established photo business, the Epson® SureLab® D-Series offers options for different production needs.
