EFI™ Pro 30h+ and Pro 30f+: Rigid, Flexible, and Everything in Between

Written by Liliana Wright | Oct 14, 2026, 1:00:00 PM

What happens when a customer asks for something outside your usual job mix?

Maybe it’s a rigid display instead of a banner. A clear window graphic that needs white ink. A specialty material. Or a dimensional piece that can't be produced on a traditional roll-to-roll printer.

Having the right production platform can give you more options for saying yes.

The EFI™ Pro 30h+ and EFI™ Pro 30f+ offer two options to wide-format UV LED production, giving shops the ability to choose the platform that best matches their applications, materials, and workflow.

Do You Need Rigid and Roll Production in One Printer?

For shops regularly moving between flexible and rigid work, the EFI™ Pro 30h+ combines flatbed and roll-to-roll printing in a single 126-inch platform.

It supports rigid and flexible substrates up to 2 inches thick, with fast changeover between roll, board, and sheet printing. That opens the door to applications ranging from retail and POP displays to window graphics, backlits, wallcoverings, décor, and other sign and display work.

For a shop with a varied workload, the appeal is straightforward: one production platform can move between very different types of jobs.

When Does a True Flatbed Make More Sense?

If rigid and specialty applications are more central to the plan, the EFI™ Pro 30f+ offers an alternative strategy.

Its 120 x 80-inch flatbed supports materials up to 4 inches thick and 400 pounds, expanding the possibilities beyond traditional boards to thicker or heavier substrates and even promotional items produced with a jig. EFI highlights applications including window graphics, dimensional and textured printing, décor, and other specialty work.

That makes the Pro 30f+ worth considering when the work itself- not roll capability- is driving the equipment decision.

What Can White Ink and Multilayer Printing Offer?

Both platforms include white ink and multilayer printing of up to five layers in a single pass, giving you additional ways to work with clear and colored materials and produce specialty applications. Optional clear ink can also be used as a flood or spot treatment to create additional visual effects.

Think window graphics, day/night backlits, layered graphics, dimensional effects, and décor- applications where how the ink is built up can become part of the finished product.

Start With What You Want to Produce

Are you regularly producing both roll and rigid graphics? Do you want to expand into thicker or specialty materials? Are customers asking for applications that your current equipment makes difficult to produce?

The answers can help determine whether the flexibility of the EFI™ Pro 30h+ or the dedicated flatbed capabilities of the EFI™ Pro 30f+ make more sense for your operation.
