4 Ways to Step Up Your Floor Graphics

Floor graphics aren’t just for retail anymore. They provide an easy way to create ambiance for special events, turn bland walkways into brilliant displays, and even provide directional signage in the most unusual places. Here are a few examples from customers who have stepped outside the point-of-purchase box:

Wicked-cool Décor: Mark Hawkins of Mark Hawkins Photography took the “Wicked” theme of a recent fundraiser gala to new heights. Hawkins was tasked with bringing the world of Oz to life, and he turned to LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric to create graphics such as the iconic Yellow Brick Road, informational signage and what looked to be the poor Wicked Witch squashed by one of the bars. With its versatility, spot-on colors and ease of install and removal, Print-N-Stick was the go-to choice to create fun, customized graphics for the event.

Taking Team Spirit to Town: During the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs, American Visual Brands helped the Tampa Bay Lightning boost team pride all along the Tampa Riverwalk and on sidewalks throughout St. Petersburg and Clearwater. Using panoRama Walk & Wall, the company printed and installed 200 cut out graphics of the Stanley Cup Playoff logo featuring the Lightning logo. With no-slip certification, it was an ideal one-step flooring option on the sidewalks that could stand up to walking, running and weather for more than a month.

From Dance Floor to Hoop Dreams: An important life event deserves a larger-than-life celebration. That’s just what Brett Feldman, owner of Unlimited Exposures, helped accomplish for a bar mitzvah. Marquis Florals & Event Design by Kim, the party planner, wanted something a little more exciting than a mundane dance floor; they wanted to create an entire basketball court. Feldman chose Photo Tex PSA Repositionable fabric to bring the hoops to life. Throughout the night, even with people dancing on it, the image didn’t peel up or cause any issues. While Photo Tex doesn’t have a slip resistance rating, the slightly textured surface will hold-up for temporary graphics.

The Purrr-fect Makeover: Last year, our summer interns had the opportunity to work with some LexJet products and help a local non-profit organization at the same time. Cat Depot is a well-known cat rescue and adoption facility in Sarasota, Fla. While the organization is known for having big hearts when it comes to cats, they don’t typically have a lot of time or funds to devote to decorating the facility.  With such an expansive space – where they offer adoptions, low-cost vet care, animal education and even cat yoga –visitors often got turned around before reaching their destination. The LexJet team designed cat paws to aid the traffic flow. They used Simple Indoor FloorAd to create the pawprints and finished them with LexJet Floor Velvet Laminate 5 Mil, which offers UL certification for slip resistance. Everyone at Cat Depot was paws-atively grateful for the whimiscal makeover.
