Latex-printable Fabric to the Rescue as Fundraiser Photo Backdrop

Every year, hundreds of guests attend one of the largest and most glamorous events in Sarasota, Fla., the Wine, Women & Shoes luncheon and fashion show. Earlier this year, organizers reached out to us for assistance with its photography area backdrop.

They needed a lightweight fabric that could hang elegantly without wrinkles or creases across a 19-foot area. Another challenge: It needed to be printed with deep black inks that really offset three logos at the top.

Now Available: EnduraFab™ Textiles, Exclusively at LexJet

You’ve asked for a latex-compatible, reliable and durable fabric. Now you’ve got it. LexJet has partnered with Green Textile to introduce EnduraFab™ Textiles, 100% polyester warp knit fabrics that have been finished with a proprietary chemistry specifically designed to adhere third-generation latex inks to the fabric.

“Over the past few years, we’ve witnessed the growing trend and subsequent demand for inkjet printable fabrics, specifically those that are compatible with latex inks,” says Jaimie Mask, product specialist. “With EnduraFab™, we’re answering that call with an excellent line of textiles from our partners at Green Textile. These six new products are changing the game for wide format printing.”

Elevating the Special Event Experience with Elevator Graphics

Elevator Graphics by Presentation Graphics

Brooklyn-based Presentation Graphics‘ reputation for quality work precedes it. The large-format boutique prints for a range of applications and venues, and is well known for its museum-quality special event and exhibit imaging.

That’s why the Museum of Jewish Heritage in lower Manhattan recommended Presentation Graphics to someone who was renting the museum for a party and wanted their logos on the three sets of elevator doors.

Presentation Graphics made a relatively simple job even easier, choosing LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric for the six banks of elevators on three floors.

“We’ve had great experience using LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric and thought it would be perfect for quick application and removal,” explains Eli Weingarten of Presentation Graphics. “It worked beautifully and the client loved it.”

The graphics were printed on the company’s Canon iPF9400 60″ wide-format inkjet printer, applied in one piece across the doors, spliced in the middle of the doors and wrapped around the edges. With Print-N-Stick’s removable adhesive the graphics were quickly removed with no residue after the event ended.

Video: Berea Printing Reviews LexJet Poly Select Blockout Fabric

When Phil Crawford, production manager for Berea Printing, Berea, Ohio, finds a product that helps his company, he shares his finds with others through his YouTube channel, The Promo Video. Crawford recently reviewed Sunset Production Gloss Canvas SUV, which we featured here at the LexJet Blog.

LexJet Poly Select Blockout FabricCrawford’s latest review focuses on a blockout fabric compatible with aqueous and latex printers: LexJet Poly Select Blockout Fabric.

The timing of the review couldn’t be better since the blockout fabric is on sale until this Saturday, Oct. 4 for 35 percent off. Crawford’s review provides a closer look at the various features of the product, including a fairly severe water test to check the fabric’s water resistance.

“We were looking for a new print material for our HP Latex 25500 Printer because we’re working on a campaign to appeal to what they call live event shows. It’s a program we put together for these events, seminars and presentations where we print everything they need, from flyers and business cards to posters and banners,” explains Crawford. “We had a request for a cloth banner because other banner materials were too heavy and they creased. I talked to Erin Kcmar at LexJet and she recommended the Poly Select Blockout Fabric. We’ll switch to this material because we think it will also work for general display applications. This is more versatile and something that’s easy to work with that I don’t have to fight with.”

Check out the video, and call a LexJet printing specialist at 800-453-9538 to take advantage of the sale on LexJet Poly Select Blockout Fabric before it ends on October 4.

Menu Updates with Print-N-Stick Fabric

Menus Printed on Print-N-Stick

JuiceWell needed menu signs right away and menu signs that could be easily switched out for its location in the new Santa Barbara Public Market.

One of the neighboring businesses at the Santa Barbara Public Market had something they wanted; a printable fabric with an adhesive that makes the prints removable and reusable so old menus can come down and new ones can go up in their place quickly and easily.

JuiceWell was in luck since local photo and fine art reproduction company Color Services had a roll of what the doctor, or juicer in this case, ordered: LexJet Print-N-Stick Fabric.

“They called on a Wednesday and needed it all on Friday. We printed it late Wednesday night and delivered it early Friday morning. The customer installed it themselves and that’s why they were so thrilled with it: if they change prices or add things to their menu they can change it themselves,” says Glen Hodges, co-owner of Color Services. “We also found that it renders better blacks than other fabrics we’ve worked with. We noticed right away that it has a bright-white base, so it helps make the black deeper.”

Color Services printed six menu panels of varying sizes on a Canon iPF8300 from LexJet and then coated them for added durability with a water-based lacquer. The results met JuiceWell’s every need and showcase an additional application Color Services can provide its customers.

JuiceWell shop owner Sharon Egan said, “The ease of installing both large and small wall clings was pretty much mistake-proof and a testament to the quality of the material Color Services uses. Their printing is sharp and rich, and their team does an amazing job in taking care of and going the extra mile for the customer.”

Color Services plans to follow up with more prints on the front counter at JuiceWell, and is ready to go with any menu changes on the fly.
