From signage to photo panels to temporary banners, here are the products that will help keep you at the head of the class, this year:
HP Adhesive Vinyl – The products in the HP adhesive vinyl portfolio have been some of the hottest since their release in 2019. Customers say that the vinyl line delivers the consistency, performance, and image quality they expect from the HP brand.

HP Prime Banner – Unveiled last year, the HP Prime banner family quickly became another line of products our customers can’t resist. Available in 13-oz matte and gloss, 15-oz blockout, and 18-oz pole banner, these products are perfect for long-standing indoor displays or outdoor displays and offer extra durability.

ChromaLuxe Photo Panels – Using dye-sub technology, this high-end alternative to photographic paper helps your images stand out in the crowd. While there are similar products widely available in the market, very few can match the combination of color, durability, and diversity that ChromaLuxe panels offer.

Looking back on 2018, we’ve seen a lot of much-needed innovation, as well as power-house collaborations. Our top five launches of the year answered customer demand for versatile, cost-effective, application-driven solutions across the board in the wide-format market. If you haven’t tried these new options, what are you waiting for? The year’s almost over!

LexJet InFuze® Dye-Sublimation Papers — Adding to our dye-sub portfolio was a top priority for our customers who were bringing this new technology to their tool kits. We created the fresh InFuze brand, and brought to market four high-end, competitively-priced transfer paper options that our customers couldn’t refuse:

Outdoor signage transferred to ChromaLuxe EXT

ChromaLuxe EXT — Another important product line for our dye-sub customers is the stunning ChromaLuxe metal photo panels, a high-demand item. This year, ChromaLuxe introduced its EXT line, geared toward extended outdoor use — something dye-sub wasn’t able to achieve previously. The EXT innovation won ChromaLuxe an SGIA Product of the Year award, and it’s not hard to see why. Check out this story about how the panels were used as wayfinding signs for Felts Audubon Preserve.

AveryxLexJet — In one of the wide-format industry’s biggest news stories of the year, LexJet partnered with Avery Dennison, adding more than 200 calendared and cast vinyl, film and laminate products to our product line. Now, LexJet customers have access to all the vehicle and fleet wraps, wall films and so much more.

LexJet Flex Tek — One thing so many print shops struggle with is inventory space, that’s why we love all-in-one media products like LexJet Flex Tek 170g for aqueous printers and LexJet Flex Tek SUV 200g, compatible with eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks. LexJet Premium Archival Matte Paper is a long-time favorite for both photography and fine art reproduction. Artisan Craftsman Books relies on the smooth matte finish for gorgeous, coffee table-style fine-art giclee-printed books. This is a paper tailored to high-end work, with accurate color reproduction and high-resolution output. The heavy-weight 9.5 mil base dries instantly, making it an easy-to-handle, smudge-resistant choice that’s compatible with latex and aqueous printer techology.

TOUGHcoat Water-Resistant Polypropylene is a versatile media that provides tear- and water-resistance that can work for a variety of applications, such as banners, posters, banner stands and even backlit displays. “Water-Resistant Polypropylene from LexJet prints nicely, it’s scratch-resistant, easy to work with and quite economical,” says photographer David Ziser, who prints hanging display banners for special events and promotions. Bonus: This product has a 125° white point, which delivers colors that really pop.

LexJet Solvent Print-N-Stick Fabric is one of our most versatile products that is the answer for promotions, displays and graphics of all kinds. It’s super easy to just print and stick, plus you can reposition and remove it without leaving any residue behind. Our customers have used it for wall murals, window graphics, floor graphics, menus, temporary menus, sporting event signage and even elevator graphics. LexJet Sunset Reserve Bright Matte Canvas is a go-to, consistent canvas for high-end prints. When PostNet Norfolk needed to create art reproductions on canvas, they turned to the Sunset favorite to create canvas wraps that were eventually auctioned off during a Navy SEAL Foundation fundraiser for $18,000. The art pieces were topped with LexJet Sunset Satin Coating for a stunning finish. This best-selling product is a poly/cotton blend with a slight texture that turns out a wide color gamut.

LexJet 8 mil Absolute™ Backlit

LexJet 8 Mil Absolute™ Backlit film is another uber-versatile product that printers and artists alike have discovered for a number of innovative applications. Last year we met the creative minds at Lumii who incorporated Absolute™ Backlit in their 3D prints, pairing it with another film, backlighting and their groundbreaking software to create the 3D effect. New York artist Karin Giusti created breathtaking light columns printed on Absolute™ Backlit in her 9/11 First Responders exhibit, Three Seasons at Black Forest Farm. In 2017, the film achieved a Class A Fire Rating, which made it an instant favorite with Octo Lights, who create customized fluorescent light covers for hospitals, office buildings, schools and more.
