How-to Video: Loading Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-Series Printers

The launch of the new Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-Series printers has been successful for many reasons (e.g.: smaller footprint, improved print performance and speed), but one notable improvement over previous incarnations of Canon printers is the ease with which paper can be loaded. In just a few steps, you can load single or multiple rolls of media, keeping downtime to a minimum.

Select “New Roll” on panel

The media loading process is so simplified, a beep and a button push is all it takes to let you know that the paper is ready to go. The only time manual adjustment is needed is if the printer detects an alignment issue.

Michael Clementi, LexJet’s tech specialist, reviewed these printers last summer. At that time, he noted that Canon had reduced some of the clumsiness that occurred with the older models: “With just a quick beep and a button push, the printer takes the media into the printer and registers it. No more opening up the top hatch and lining up the paper.”

LexJet Keeps Things Lively at The UPS Store Convention

The UPS Store hosted 1,700 of its franchisees on Aug. 11 in Nashville for its bi-annual The UPS Store Convention. The focus of the event was helping The UPS Store franchisees learn how to better serve small businesses in their communities. As a preferred vendor and partner, we had the pleasure of exhibiting during the show.

The LexJet team manned a lively booth with GOframe canvas wrap and Canon PRO-series printer demonstrations throughout the day. “The presence of the Canon PRO-6000S in our booth was a huge hit,” says LexJet’s Vince Bejar. “We generated a ton of interest with UPS Stores that aren’t currently printing wide-format.”

Canon offers several new models with the PRO-series line, and the Canon PRO4000S drew a lot of interest, as it’s ideal for most UPS Store configurations. Bringing a wide-format printer in-house allows The UPS Stores to offer a variety of services to their customers, such as banners, posters, yard signs, custom canvas wraps and much more.

Things got really exciting when our team pulled the name of the winner of our booth’s Canon PRO-6000S printer, which went to Lynne Lee from The UPS Store 2459 in Springfield, Mo. Congrats to Lynne and her team for scoring the new printer, valued at $9,995!

Tech Corner: Canon PRO-2000 and PRO-4000 Review

The Canon imagePROGRAF marketing message is as clear as a Canon L series lens: Photographers who use a Canon body and lens combination should be equally obsessed with print quality, and the ideal solution is a Canon imagePROGRAF PRO Series printer.

For those of you Canon shooters or fine art reproducers using Canon EOS camera bodies and L lenses, looking at these printers will seem like déjà vu. Canon used the same jet black textured surface found on its pro cameras, along with red line from the lenses (symbolizing the highest quality) through the front of the new 24-inch and 44-inch imagePROGRAF PRO Series printers.
